Take online wine classes with Vinolust! Learn all about wine from the comfort of home.

Italy is home to over 2,000 indigenous grape varietals.  The wine of the country is defined by each region’s unique relationship with its native grapes, most of which are not commonly found here.  Yet it is the individuality of these varietals that makes Italy such an exciting and powerful presence on the world stage of wine, and a constant adventure to taste and explore.

In this class we will focus on Northern Italy, and explore the unusual wines and varietals to be found throughout the regions.  Some you will be familiar with, others you may not, but discovery is the best part!  The goal over four classes will be to expand our understanding and appreciation of unique wines that Northern Italy has to offer.

Classes in the series include:

Class 1: Beyond Barolo – Thursday, June 3rd
Famous for Barolo and Barbaresco, Piemonte has wine traditions and varietals that go beyond Nebbiolo.
This class we will take a look at three other wines of the region that may not have the.

Class 2: From sea to summit – Thursday, June 10th
From the coast of the Ligurian sea to the foothills of the Alps we find a plethora of fun grapes to explore.
We will journey through the lesser known regions of northwest Italy and learn about their wines and varietals.

Class 3: Riveting reds in the north – Thursday, June 17th
In north central Italy we discover some lesser known local varietals that have been long-standing favorites of the locals.
