The western and northern coast of Spain is known as “Green Spain”. Wines from these regions are predominantly white, vibrant and quite delicious! In this class we cover the Basque country, Galicia & other nearby wine regions.

Tour of Loire – Centre Loire
The Centre-Loire is near the heart of the country and includes the famous appellations of Sancerre & Pouilly-Fumé. Its best known for its Sauvignon Blancs and local goat cheese, but did you know that Pinot Noir and Gamay are also grown here? And that the soils are part of what make the wines so special? In this class we’ll cover the most famous appellations, as well as the lesser known areas and grapes of the region.

Tour of Loire – Touraine
The Centre-Loire is near the heart of the country and includes the famous appellations of Sancerre & Pouilly-Fumé. Northwest Italy is long famed for the iconic wine regions of Barolo and Barbaresco. Here the Nebbiolo grape is king, but this land of tradition is full of lesser known varietals and wine styles. This class covers Piemonte and some of the surrounding DOCs.

Northeast Italy is home to some of the best known wine styles that we see here in the USA. That includes Prosecco, Pinot Grigio and Amarone. In this class we explore the familiar and the surprising of this hub of Italian wine. Get ready to learn about the regions of Veneto, Alto-Adige and Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Tour of Italy – Tuscany & Central Italy
Central Italy includes the rolling hills of Tuscany, the home of the Super Tuscan, and a wide range of style of one of Italy’s most iconic varietals: Sangiovese. Travel through the region with us to discover and explore the history of the wines and the winemakers. We will cover Tuscany (of course!), Emilia Romagna and the Marche.
