Wines of Northern Italy: Foothills to Friuli

Italy is home to over 2,000 indigenous grape varietals. The wine of the country is defined by each region’s unique relationship with its native grapes, most of which are not commonly found here. Yet it is the individuality of these varietals that makes Italy such an exciting and powerful presence on the world stage of wine, and a constant adventure to taste and explore.

Northeastern Italy is home to the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and also their hidden secrets of delicious wines. Our final session uncovers some of the classic wines and grapes of these regions.
