Italy is home to over 2,000 indigenous grape varietals. The wine of the country is defined by each region’s unique relationship with its native grapes, most of which are not commonly found here. Yet it is the individuality of these varietals that makes Italy such an exciting and powerful presence on the world stage of wine, and a constant adventure to taste and explore.
From the coast of the Ligurian sea to the foothills of the Alps we find a plethora of fun grapes to explore. We will journey through the lesser known regions of northwest Italy and learn about their wines and varietals.
